Ganaxa Publishing Platform (GPP)
Ganaxa’s Publishing Platform consists of methodology, processes and software to prepare content (newspapers, magazines, books, catalogues, adverts…), in any language, and deliver it for optimal use on e-paper reading/display devices.
The various types of content (text, generally structured in XML, pictures, animations, sound) are formatted and processed separately in order to adapt them to the features (size, etc.) of the multiple target reading/display devices.
Metadata, tags and links are added in order to obtain a structured data set in Ganaxa Publishing Format (GPF). The GPF data sets are encapsulated in RSS feeds so that users may be automatically informed of updates and new versions of the content.
For some e-paper applications, the GPF content may be stored on an individual medium, such as an SD card, to be plugged into a reading device automatically recognized by Ganaxa’s software. In some cases, the GPF content may be uploaded to a collective distribution medium, such as a web site.
For other applications, the GPF content may be transmitted directly to a display device.
Ganaxa’s software features consultation and presentation tools, optimized for electronic ink, providing high legibility on a variety of e-paper devices (reader, poster, information terminal...), as well as user-interface tools for easy access to content and navigation.
Additional advantages of the GPP are direct content transmission between devices, content syndication (sharing of documents between publishers) and information gathering: audience measurement for advertisers, usage statistics for rights management, editorial feedback for content providers.
